AUBG's aid page gives an average tuition after aid of €4,800 a semester for 2027/28, against a list price of €7,100. Most awards require a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to keep, for up to eight semesters.

How to improve your chances
- Apply in the priority round, by 15 January, the same day as the donor merit scholarship deadline.
- Submit the financial documents in full; need-based aid is assessed on them.
- Strong Class 12 results, SAT scores if you have them, and activities count for merit aid.
- International students can work up to 20 hours a week on campus as student assistants.
Is it worth it
AUBG suits students who want an American-style degree in Europe at a lower cost than in the US. Without substantial aid, a public university in Sofia or Varna is several times cheaper. Compare on the AUBG page.
